Short answer: NOPE.

Long answer: Most modern laptop/notebook/tabletPC's utilize graphics chips soldered directly to the main-board (motherboard; acts like nervous system because everything connects with it). Ergo - upgrading the main-board gets you a new graphics upgrade. This is not cost effective considering the lower price of laptops - your not-so-souped-up laptop served you well, now stimulate the economy and purchase a new one that fits your new needs... Older laptop users may find it a fun time-waster to search the internet for model number + "MXM Port" for the rare/off-chance there is an on-board slot the chip plugs into (hence, removable/replaceable).
HINT: I've been wrong before, but it's sometimes easier to say "NO"

Can I install HD video graphic in my PC Hp 2000 notebook RAM 3GB T3500 @2.10GHz mobile Intel (R)45 Chipset family therefore I want to know how can I install the HD graphic driver

In most laptops you can't replace anything but the RAM so your out of luck for installing a new graphics card, although Intel HD graphics are integrated in the cpu so its hardwired in and can't be changed, but for most basic tasks it will be alright.

Tip

Upgrading the Graphics Card in Your Laptop Computer (Yes, it's possible)

At some point in the life cycle of a Laptop, there is usually the demand for better graphics performance. For desktop computers, this is a fairly simple and easy process, and there are a wide range of upgrades available. However, in the case of a Laptop computer, most are told that this is not possible. That in order to upgrade the graphics capability on their laptop they should purchase a brand new expensive model. This is quite frankly, either a misinformed opinion or a bad sales pitch. In this Tip we will explore the graphics upgrade options for Laptops.

METHOD 1: For ANY Laptop with an ExpressCard slot. This method will be something you use at your desk, and it will stay there. This is not a portable option by any means, but it eliminates the necessity of buying a whole new computer. You will need:

1. A Power Supply from a desktop computer.
2. A PCI-Express graphics card of your choosing.
3. HWTools Expresscard to PCI-Express adapter.

The HWTools adapter is a very much barebones kit (85$), and therefore the cheapest alternative compared to overpriced units(750$!!!) from other suppliers that do the exact same thing.

The HWTools site has a very good installation and user manual for the adapter. It is essentially using the computing power of the graphics card and channeling it through the ExpressCard port.

METHOD 2: Netbooks. Sadly, most netbooks do not have an ExpressCard slot and cannot benefit from the method above. The one option available for improving graphics performance ONLY aids in video playback, namely Flash (Youtube) and H.264 video footage. This is done through the installation of a Broadcom CrystalHD card, which essentially offloads video decoding from a slow Netbook processor. An in depth review and test of this card is done by Nick Mertes and can be read here.

METHOD 3: MXM-upgrade! Yes, some laptops support what is known as the MXM graphics card format. These cards can actually be removed from your laptop and upgraded with better cards of the same format. The lists of MXM compatible laptops can be found HERE, and HERE. The site MXM-upgrade.com is dedicated to helping those with MXM to upgrade their laptop graphics.

That is all and I hope this has been informative helpful.

Hiya ive just installed silent hunter 5 and it seems the graphics cardbisnt good enough is it possible to purchase a better graphics card as this laptop is only a couple of months old?

Unfortunately it is not possible in a lower end computer. Lower end computers have integrated video cards on the motherboard. High end gaming laptops typically will have a replaceable graphics cards but generally run over $1000 (for the laptop)
Anything with Intel graphics chips are so so terribly sub par to even the cheapest discrete graphics cards I'm afraid.
You can build a budge gaming desktop for around $700.

Install new dedicated graphics card - Aspire 5738?

No, It's not. As with most low end laptops it is not possible to upgrade the graphics card. Which is a good thing, as most high end cards make the user believe that a laptop is designed for gaming, and they never are. Gaming kills laptops.

I have a dell inpiron 1501 is it possibe to upgrade my graphics in any way?

Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya Expert zone,

By analyzing your Dell laptop model it comes with inbuilt graphics card.So you cant able to replace your graphics card, and also it is not possible to install another internal graphic card.So solution is you can buy and install external USB graphics card.

I think it helps to resolve your laptop issue. If you have any problem regarding this issue leave a feedback we were happy to assist you.

Have a nice day!

Hi i want to install grafics card in my laptop

do you want to install the driver for the card that is already in the Laptop?

Or are you looking to install a new hardware graphics card??
Because this is close to impossible for laptops.

Do you have an expresscard slot? It might be possible to get a card for something like that.
Its not a good idea but Asus introduced a graphics card for laptop expresscard slots.

I dont know what it costs (im sure tho that its way too much)
its called ASUS XG Station and you will be able to plug in a pci-Express graphics card.

The problem is: The Expresscard slot is only 1/16th as fast as the starndard PCI-e graphics port in a desktop computer. so plugging in a nice card will not result in great performance unfortunately.

as I said its possible, but highly inefficient, wouldnt recommend it.

Can i fit a new graphics card

Graphics chips on laptops are usually part of the motherboard and therefore cannot be changed.
Your only choice is to get a new and usually a better laptop.

Most desktop computers can accomodate new graphics cards by installing them in AGP or PCI slots, most modern graphics are AGP type cards.
