On the 5660... on the printer tape there is "off" "on" IC (for item count) and GT (which might be grand total)

for every entry of $check you add the item count will total to the left of the register tape.

My TI-5130 will not add and subtract

It probably uses adding machine logic. Try the following example.

3+
4-
5+
*

You should get 3, -1, and 4 on the screen, the running total. The tape should show the +3, -4, +5, and finally 4, the numbers that you entered and the total. Think of each entry as adding/subtracting integers on a number line rather than 3+4-5;)

Let me know if you have any questions.

How do I pay mortgage payment on line

Note: The names of the fields and controls on your bank's website may not be the same as the ones I've used. If you can't find the exact name, look for something similar

Set up where your payments will go.
  1. Make sure you have the name of your mortgage company and your account number.
  2. Go to your bank's online banking website.
  3. Open the Pay Bills page
  4. Open the Payees page
  5. Select Add a New Payee
  6. Look on the Payee List for the mortgage company
  7. If you find it, select it and enter your account number. If you don't find it, go to your bank branch and ask for help.
Make a payment
  1. Go to your bank's online banking website
  2. Open the Pay Bills page
  3. Select Pay a Bill
  4. Select the mortgage company from your list of payees
  5. Enter the payment amount
  6. Enter the date the payment is to be made. If you're making the payment now, you can probably leave the date blank.
  7. If the page allows paying of more than one bill at a time, there may be a box your have to check next to the payment entry you have made
  8. Click the Confirm Payment button.

I do not have the manual. If I want to add or subtract do I put the total amount in and than hit the plus or minus key ? i.e., $128,000 -10000. do I hit the minus before the amount or after? -1500....

You can download the manual from
http://downloads.canon.com/cpr/software/calculator/P170-DH-(USA-HWB).pdf

128000 - 10000 then press = or chain the calculation by pressing + or - and the number you want to add or subtract.

What does MC,MR,M-,M+ on the calculator mean and do?

Hi,

MR is Memory Recall
MC is Memory Clear
M+ is Memory add
M- is Memory subtract

These are used to add and subtract the answers to multi-step equations so you can do the small steps with the calculator, then store, change or recall the total as needed. You might add a long string of numbers in groups this way. Or you can do all operations in one parenthesis, then just store the total of each.

A good problem to illustrate this would be : (123 x 3) + (55 - 24) + (10^2) - (7 x 8) = ???
Using MR, M+ and M-, you can do each one as a group, and only store the answers. 123 x 3 = 369 so M+ to put 369 in memory. Clear it from the calculator. 55 - 24 = 31, so M+ to put this in memory and add to the 369 already there. Clear it from the calculator. 10^2 = 100, so M+ this to memory also to add it. Clear it from the calculator. 7 x 8 = 56 so M- this to SUBTRACT it from memory. Clear it from the calculator if desired. Now, when you then hit MR, you will get the total of all of these small equations in parenthesis -- 444.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Pls. give me a code of scientific calculator

You caould have a series of buttons for the numbers, +,-,= and so on.
Put code in each button to increment and decrement the total (depending on if they press + or -) and display the total if they click =.
The key is to decalar the total as a global variable at the top on the form's code:
dim total as double

Making it scientific probably means to add exponenets into it, ie powers.
Add another buton called ^.
It would raise the value of total by that power of the next button pressed. ie. 3^3 = 27.
You would also have to handle decimal places.
