I have a 30 Electrolux induction range and it started making a lot of noise when I use it. Seems to function ok but I think the fan is making the notice. What do you recommend I do?

Thank you for your post, Mike!

I see based off the information you have provided that your Electrolux range is making a lot of noise. It sounds like you could be experiencing an issue with your fan or motor. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues with your range I would suggest seeking help from a professional technician for proper repairs. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

KitchenAid KHTU160KSS Kitchen Hood makes noise

Remove the fan and motor assembly from the hood (the fan motor will plug into the hood housing) and using an electrical motor cleaner (such as CRC electrical motor cleaner available from your local auto parts store) wash the motor and fan as completely as possible, lubricate the end bearings (sparingly) with a very light oil such as sewing machine oil, gun oil or as a last resort 3 in 1 oil. Hope this helps.

Turned blower fan on to vent the home. Sudenly it smelled like burning air throughout the house. Turned off the fan. Restarted and no problem. What's going on?

Sunbinder...you will need to do a little troubleshooting. Turn it off again and wait 20 minutes then back on. If no noise or odor. Are you certain that the smell came from the blower. "Thru-out the house is a lot of smell. Listen closely on startup and running....any unusual sounds. ? Which fan are you talking about ? Furnace ? Vent like bath or kitchen ? If you are handy you can check the wiring connections to be sure they are secure and making good contact with tight wirenuts or screws etc.

Noisy fan or motor?

HI. The most common issue here will be with a loose motor shaft. This is the part that the fan blades are mounted on. When this occurs, the looseness will cause the motor, and shaft to wobble, thus, causing this noise you here at high speeds. The wobble is less violent during the slower speeds, so it is not loud, in this case.

The second issue will be a warped fan blade. This will cause the fan to rub against the shroud, thus, creating the noise, as well.

If the shaft is loose, or bent, the entire motor will need to be replaced. Now, if the fan blade is warped, you can, simply, unscrew the blade from the shaft, and replace it(on most model)

Heard popping noise and circuit to stove blew. could not set time or oven temp when reset breaker

Hi
Sounds like your oven heater failed. Not sure if its a fan oven or static type. If you hear a fan inside the oven then its classed as a fan oven

Cooker delonghi professional dfs903 6 ring hob has terible fan like noise whenever you turn the oven on which has now become unbearable and occurs whether using the grill, the oven on fan setting or not....

i had the same problem, the noise is coming from a circular fan located under the hob itself. not from the fan at the back of the oven.its a cooling fan.i bought a new one online around £70 and got a local gas fitter to install it. its a real big job and most if not all of the gas connections to the hob have to be disconnected its a big job.but worth it.
i have the same problem with the door, thats what im looking for.
if i find a solution ill let you know

Maytag mmv1153aaw ehaust fan turns on

Normally the hood / exhaust fan comes on when you turn it on, or when the temperature at the bottom of the microwave gets high enough to close the hood thermostat.

Sometimes a failure of the hood thermostat or on the control board can cause intermittent or unintended operation of the hood fan.

A thermostat can only trip so many time before it fails permanently.

One way to test it is to unplug one wire from the thermostat, tape it up to prevent it from shorting, and see how it acts for a couple of days.

If it stops failing, the hood thermostat is bad., If it continues to fail, chances are you have a failure on the control board, which we can repair for $39.95 in most cases.
