Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera

2 Answers

I loaded pictures from my Kodak easyshare Z885 into Windows (VISTA) Photo Gallery and changed the size from 3264 X 2448 pixels to 314 X 235 pixels using Microsoft Office Picture Manager for emailing purposes. Now when I try to increase the size of the picture to what it was, the picture is distorted. My question is how can I increase the size of the picture to what it was without the distortion.

How do I transfer my pictures from the kodak easyshare to the shutterfly gallery? I cannot even transfer my recently added pictures to the Kodak gallery.

If your pictures are in jpg format, you can download Picasa, free from Google at http://picasa.google.com/ and use it to upload your photos. You can also do it using your browser if it handles Flash. If not, use the one by one uploader at Shutterfly. I recommend using Picasa, because it will find all the pictures on your PC and sort them by date. It includes a photo editor and facial recognition too. I would drag all your pictures to the "Pictures" folder to make it easier to work with them.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.
