Question about Hitachi 50V500 50 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
The light engine has gone out on my TV after 2.5 years, Hitachi orgiinally told me to have it diagnosed by a certified tech and have the results called to them, they may be able to assist even though the TV was out of warranty. I did as I was instructed and lo and behold, no one has any file about the phone call and now I've been informed that there are no longer issues with these sets. "It's out of warranty and it is a technology issue." They will not assist in the replacement. My only solution is to boycott Hitachi and give as many warnings against a purchase as I possibly can. The rear projection sets are disposable. Thanks for letting me get that said.
