Could be any number of issues, try booting up in safe mode. If it boots up in safe mode, shut it down by selecting the shut-down option, then try rebooting. If it still does the same go back to safe "mode with networking." Update your anti virus and scan. Then update and scan for malware. Reboot again. If still not going go safe mode again, run fixdisk, if that does not fix it, try system restore to an earlier time and see what happens.if that doesn't work download a program called HDD Regenerator and run it from a CD or USB, it may fix it.
For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode then go to start menu->run type in run "chkdsk /r" without "" then restart computer then it fix errors . If still not able to see windows then again press F8 then enter in enabler vga mode then go to display property and change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok then check. If still same then you need windows disk boot computer with that disk. When you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key then enter in bios then go to boot menu and set first boot device as cd/dvd rom then save settings and exit then it boot with that disk. Follow the procedure and enter in recovery console then type "chkdsk /r" then it fix errors on harddrive then after completion restart it again boot and this time choose "repair previous windows" then it repairs it then you can use windows again. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
you need to go into bios at startup, press F2 Or Delete Or Esc on bootup. When you get into the System Bios. Change the boot device priority from HDD To CD/DVD To boot first.
Save/exit And when you reboot ( with windows XP in the Drive ) you,ll get options to format or re-install.
