What is the model number?
Check the lid switch. You should here a click when you push and release it. If no click is heard, replace the lid switch. Here is the part you need.

It wash and evacuate the water but doesn't spin at the end!! What can I do?

What happens over time is the lid gets a little bent from use , reason it wont start unless lid is put down is because there is a lid switch that is called a safety switch, you might have to bend down lid some or this: Ok, first check under the lid, there is a peg that goes into the top edge of the washer. That is a switch. The idea between this is that it is a safety feature for mostly kids, so that when the washer is on that high speed spin cycle, that a child does not open up lid and stick there arm or hand in and have it injured. Most washer are designed so that the washer will only spin when the washing machine lid is down. So, of course you have it down, but sometimes the lid might have got a little bent or warped. So first try with lid down pushing down on lid while on spin cycle. If still wont spin, most likely it is that switch that that peg goes into, if you take a knife or flat head screw driver, with lid up on spin cycle and push into that hole with the knife or flat head screw driver and do not here a click when pushing it and releasing it, then you need to replace that switch, it is pretty cheep, normally under 20 bucks and a appliance store and when picking up the part they can tell you exactly how to replace it yourself, it is pretty easy and only takes a few minutes. Hope this helps. Mike

My washer washes fine but when its time to spin it wont spin or drain waster

Under the washer lid you will notice a peg that goes into a slot, that is a safety switch that when it spins and you open it when spinning in automatically stops to avoid energy. Sometimes from normalmuse the switch goes out To test this Carefully when in spin cycle , and lid open putna flat head screw driver in that slot and drepress and try again. You know push in and push out, if you hear a clicking sound on when pushing in and out, then switch is probably good. If no click qt all, switch needs replacing, which is cheap and do it self job with basic instructions.

I have a kenmore top load model # 82427810. It is very old, but has been working well until now. It does not drain the water after the rinse cycle and does not spin at all. Is there any repair solution...

what is the frist three numbers in the model number,i tried 110 but it didn't come up.it sounds like the lid switch is broke.set the timer to spin, open the lid and push down on the lid switch,if it runs the lid switch is bad, also if it doesn't run, when you open and close the lid you should hear a clicking sound if you don't the lid switch is bad.sometimes it will work when you push down with the screw driver but like i say it should make a clicking sound when it pushes in and out.let me know what you find and this is a common problem.

Washer starts to fill whith water then stops .

next time send the model number so i can look up you machine,i can give you the part number and price.if it's a top load washer set the timer on spin, open the lid and with a screw driver push down on the lid switch, you'll see a hole in the top of the frame and a strike on the lid the strike pushes down on the lid switch and sends power to the washer, the factory doesn't want the washer to run if the lid is opened,if it starts to spin then you have a bad lid switch, the switch could be totally broken so if it doesn't run the easiest way to check the switch is to push down and the up on the switch if it makes a clicking sound the switch is good,no clicking the switch is bad.this is a common problem, let me know if this is it.if it isn't the problem send the model number.thanks.

is the water still in the machine?if so check the lid switch, open the lid stick a screw driver in the hole where the strike slides into and put the timer on spin, does it spin when you push down the screw driver,if not lift the screw driver up and push it in,do you hear a clicking sound,if you do then the switch is good,if not the switch is bad,it's a safety, the factory doesn't want the machine to run with the lid up in the spin cycle, let me know what you find, also does the machine agitiate?

Machine (mhdsr165foww) washes and drains but when it gets to the spin cycle it does not start sounds like the lid is not locking. Lights flashing on controll pannel: Lid, rinse, spin. Any ideas?

Sounds like the lid switch is malfunctioning. The contacts in the switch may be dirty or rusted. Push down on your switch button and listen for the little click, if it still has a little click to it, spray a little WD40 on it while repeatidly pushing it down several times. Reply back to this post and let me know how you made out.

Washer filled up and wont drain or do anything!!!

Does it click when closing the lid ? Sometimes , the lid switch arm , will work inserting something into it , but not with the lid closed . Try checking it using the lid itself . Occasionally , the arm wears to where it has to be pushed farther down to work so the actuator on the lid cannot push it far enough down . Have to replace the lid switch for it to work properly or bypass the lid switch from under the console .
