Question about Dell Computers & Internet
Battery replaced and it still will not charge. System works fine on the AC adapter.
Don't try to open the battery. If you are still under warranty seek support from Dell. Opening up your Laptop will kill any warranty your have.
If you have a bad charging circuit you should seek out an authorized Dell repair shop for the work.
If you are a qualified Electronics Technician and can troubleshoot digital circuit and realize what you will be doing to the potential of your machine to ever charge a battery again, then be aware of the challenge and the pitfalls. Only then, give it a go, and I wouldn't suggest anything higher than a 10watt soldering iron and use every static precaution in the book including groiunding youir soldering iron if it isn't a three prong plug as many are not.
