This is a common problem.

Either the door hinges need to be realigned, or the door switch mounts need to be adjusted. I suspect the latter.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

Please refer to my file on door switches, and the sources mentioned in it will probably also have new terminals / connectors needed to replace any which are charred or overheated at the ends of the wires.

    See that file at http://www.microwavedisplay.com/doorsw.t...

Hope you'll consider this for a FixYa! rating.

    Happy to help!

Jennair Microwave Shuts Off after 3 seconds

This is usually a defective or loose bottom door switch or that switch's mount is loose, misaligned or broken.
It's usually caused by opening the door while it's cooking instead of hitting "stop" first) or slamming the door or both.
My help file on door switches is here.

Check to make sure one of the plastic hooks on the door was not broken off. If both door hook latches are functional then the most likely cause of your problem is one of the latch switches located behind the control panel. These switches will fail if the oven user opens the door frequently BEFORE the cook cycle ends. Always push STOP/RESET before opening any microwave oven door.

Something about that model number doesn't look right. It's not showing up...

Since it failed just inside the warranty period, I would waste no time in contacting Panasonic to verify the warranty and find an authorized service center to fix it free.

You can find their contact info in your owner's manual or reply back with what country you're in and i can give you a link.

Otherwise, please visit this site and pick out your country, then look for the Support link.

I would say you have an issue with a bad door switch or misalignment of the door switch holder or hinge.

Panasonic NN-E273S Still Operating With Door Open

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, or a loose door switch mount.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a misaligned door.

It may have been damaged in transit. A loose door may leak microwave energy.

I'd return it to the dealer since it's so new and under warranty.

MICROWAVE TURNS ON WHEN DOOR IS OPENED.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

Door switches are most often damaged by opening the door while it's cooking (instead of pressing Stop / Clear first) or food
/ grease debris in the switch.
