My phone won't erase received calls- it's full now or something and I can't retrieve a phone number so that I can return a call. I try to erase and it says "Failed to Erase" on every single one. It just won't delete them and it won't show any new ones.

DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!! LOL Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.
Just in case anyone still has difficulty in finding the instructions.....
Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting. When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.
Check your Voicemail
When you receive a voicemail message, a notification with a voicemail message icon appears at the top of your screen. • At the voicemail notification, select Call to call your voicemail number and follow the system prompts to retrieve the message. Select Ignore to clear the notification without checking messages. The notification icon remains on top of the screen until you listen to the message • When only the voicemail message icon appears on top of the screen, select Voicemailand follow the system prompts to retrieve the message.
There is no way that you can retrieve the deleted data in the mobile phones.
Hwever, you can make a request to the service provider for your call records between the dates that you remember when that call came. They can give your call record for that period.
The most you can get from your cell phone is in your call records (eg: dialled numbers, received numbers, missed calls, etc). Your phone company usually can provide you with detailed info if you request it!
Sorry such information cannot be retrieved again, no matter what you do. I think the network can help you because they normally have the records of all your past dialed and received calls, sent and received text messages. except they are not willing to give out such information because of security reasons.
Clear All under the Dialed calls and Received calls and Missed calls menu to create new space. The phone should clear itself one number at a time when the memory is full but some don't.If you don't need all those numbers in there--get rid of them--delete all. Good Luck.
If you need the SIM Pin number to switch the phone on, then you have to enter any Pin number 4/5 times, then the phone will request a PUK number. This number was on the plastic card that your SIM card was attached to. If you don't have it, only your Network Service Provider can supply it to you.
If it's the Security code you need, to get into certain settings IE. Erasing received calls, missed calls, timers etc... The Nokia default is 12345 if you didn't change it, but if you did change it and you've forgotten it, let me know, I'll tell you how to retrieve it. The IMEI number doesn't have anything to do with the SIM Pin number. It is used to identify, track, and Blacklist your phone.
If you delete the number in your phone phone book and you use SIM card then there is nothing to worry, just retrieve it from your SIM but if it is in your main phone memory then only one lucky way is check your recent call history to see the delete number is still there or check on call out numbers and received numbers. Only those areas which you may be able to retrieve. Good Luck
