First, make sure the hold switch is off
Then, Push the hold switch in the direction of
Press and briefly hold the user and play/power
buttons at the same time to
reset the system.
Then, upgrade the firmware - b/c plugging it into a Linux system cause the DB to become corrupt
Finally, go to the Linux forums, b/c this player was definitely NOT designed for Linux, and you will never get an answer in this section
