Question about Cell Phones
It is connector problem which is between the two sliding parts. You need to change that.

Sounds alot like a ribbon needs to be replaced like mine.

They will repair and replace ribbon for a lot less than phone shop.

For future reference, in the battery compartment are four phillips head screws. take them out. slip a fine flat screw driver in the join between the 2 halves of the case and work your way around the phone until the 2 halves come apart. remove the back cover/plate. pop the ribbon cable for the camera off the main board and undo the screw holding the camera unit in. the camera should now pop out. you can now pry the main board loose from the case but it will still be attached by 4 ribbon cables. that's as far as i got. good luck.
