Purchased Sony Grand Wega in 2007 I believe. Replaced bulb about a year ago but now the picture has a green tone to it. What do I do?

Please adjust TINT control of Video Settings in Menu that will adjust color tone of TV. I do not think this problem is related with Lamp because TV screen does not have any color blobs or spots.
Above solution is for Sony KDF-55WF655 model TV, if your model number is different, let me know.
Thanks.

Picture is dark

Adjust video settings:
  1. Press Wega Gate
  2. Select Settings
  3. Highlight Video
  4. Press + to select
  5. Adjust/increase the brightness.
  6. Press Wega gate to exit.
If picture is still dark, you need to replace the lamp again. Sony recommends that you replace the lamp:
  1. After approximately 8,000 hours of use.
  2. When the screen becomes dark or the color becomes unusual.
  3. When the lamp indicator on the front of the TV flashes.

Picture cycles off and on

I replaced a burned out xl-2000u bulb with an after-market Philips bulb on my Sony KF60XBR800. After a fews weeks, I started experiencing intermittent black-outs with the "stand by" red light appearing. After a couple weeks it became intolerable. I then purchased an OEM Sony lamp and the problem has been gone for months. I read somewhere that the Sony circuitry monitors either resistance or watts and shuts the thing down for board protection. It was said that it is so sensitive it can can use only the Sony bulb. I'm a believer. If the bulb is going bad, i wouldn't doubt the protection circuit can kick in.

Goes off and on

I replaced the lamp today in my KDF-60XS955 and it has worked perfectly since then. I purchased the lamp from sony, costs more but I got the correct part. Might be your problem since I had similar symtoms. 30 green flashes and picture/sound cycled off and on about every thirty seconds. Good luck. Chrismickey
