How do i set up voicemail on my vtech DECT6.0 cordless phone?

The cordless phone pictured appears to be a VTech CS6114
and an Answering Machine System is not part of this phone.

** BUT ** an Answering Machine System is not the same
as "VoiceMail" anyway.

VoiceMail is an option offered by some (not all) telephone
service providers, and each of those who do offer the feature
employ specific procedures unique to themselves.

Check with your Telephone Service Provider to see if you
do have a VoiceMail service activated and how to go about
using it.

Per the CS6114 User Manual, the display indication shown,
"New VoiceMail", will be removed from the cordless phone
handset when you have accessed the providers' VoiceMail
system and played/cleared the messages.

If the alert display persists, it can be cleared from the handset
by the following (tested on my own cs6114 phone):

scroll to "Settings"
press [select]
scroll to "Clr voicemail"
press [select]
display reads "Reset VM Icon?"
press [select]
phone will (chirp)
press [off ] [off ]

The CS6114 isn't a voicemail system. If you have messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company, contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Follow the instructions on page 9 of this manual.

stay away from vtech phones....two clams and some toothpick cord does much better....vtech [cheap bastards plain and simple]
