My playstation 3 analog sticks are becoming more stiff and are sticking in every position except the centre, which causes major problems when trying to stay still in games.

Yeah my controller started sticking up and not centering properly when released. I tried everything to clean it up but nothing worked untill I went to the local electronics store and got some contact cleaner with lubricating oil. (MG Chemicals - Nu-trol contact cleaner with special lubrication oils) Open the controller ( see youtube) the analog sticks cannot be taken apart but if you push the stick up you can squirt the base and work the cleaner/lube into the base. I squirted a bit on all 4 sides (left, right, up , down) working it in making a circular motion with the stick. Worked quite well and is the only thing so far that works at all. These seem to be sealed units (the sticks) with no way to open the business end to clean up the contacts. I put a toothpick under the tracing sheet to help with evaporation of the cleaner. Hope this helps.

The stick analogique moves by it self

Does the stick return to the center position when not in use or is it loose? If it won't return to the center position, then the stick will most likely need to be replaced. The PSP has to come apart for you to replace the stick. As for the 2 screws being loose? You would have to more permanently put them in, but then you may not be able to get them back out.

It is also possible that dirt/dust has gotten into the joystick area and is causing problems.

My analog move on it"s owne

This is usually the result of a loose screw on the back of the PSP behind the analog stick, or dust on the analog stick receiver itself. If it is an older PSP, you can try to open it up and clean the analog stick yourself (after tightening the two screws behind the analog stick, of course) but if your PSP is newer, I wouldn't recommend it, because any attempts to open the PSP will VOID YOUR WARRANTY (if you still have one).

The analogue joystick isnt working properly. the character wanders off in wrong direction on its own.

simple, get a replacement joystick module and install it on your psp. i did a couple. the psp really isnt that intimidating to take apart. compared to an xbox 360 or playstation

Right analog on ps3 gets stuck on top left direction

the circular thing that lets it move freely probably cracked, making it harder to move. i had to buy a new controller because of this reason.

Controller Problem

most probably the controller's carbon button inside the controller is already worn out and is sticking on the controller's printed circuit board (PCB) there are some replacement carbon button that can be bought for a cheap price

if you are using an analog controller, check if the analog stick is loose in feeling, this might affect the controls as well because good working analog sticks are a little stiff when pushed

Control stick eternally up!

use a flat object to pop off the pad, clean around it & replace it. if it still sticks turn it round.

ANALOG STICK intenrnally broke

You could try to dissasemble it carefully and see if it the stick has simply just become dislodged but it sounds more like something has broken inside the housing, Possibly just as easy to buy a replacement if you can be bothered to repair it, There not overly expensive nowdays.
