No Sound Coming Out of Speakers

Unit has worked fine for several years. All of a sudden, no sound is coming out of any of the speakers. The display on the main panel appears the same as it always did. I have checked all connections and they all appear good.

    no sound output

  • Anonymous Jul 12, 2008

Sound just went out. Unit is 5 years old. When volume is turn all the way up, very faint TV sound can be heard along with occasional very loud pop and some crackling sound.
Hooked up to 7 year old Pioneer Plasma that is starting to bleed green across the top of the screen. Should I scrap the works or repair the AVR 2802?

Please check that system not in muting.------
please check volume control not in low level-----turn it up.
please check your audio input is selected.
check your speakers cables and confirm it is connected firmly.

I have no sound coming out of receiver all of a sudden. Connected speakers to another radio and speakers work fine. Everything looks fine on receiver just no sound. Oh, and the mute button is not on.

It is an indication that you have a faulty output ic.
Output ic is responsible for amplifying the audio from your reciever to sound output which is converted by your speakers.

If you're output ic is defective then definitely you haven't sound produce even your unit is working.

I've advice you to look for a qualified technician to checked the condition of your output ic and do some re-soldering for some dry joints on the board.

Thanks for using fixya...

Radio working just fine But no sound coming from speakers

if the radio still has power the audio amplifier ic in your radio has failed.
take your radio to an electronics repair shop or, replace the radio; this not something you can fix unless you know how to use an oscilloscope.

I have a Pioneer xv dv55 . My sub or speakers are not working!

I've had mine for nine (9) years and it fine, first make sure all coloured wire are connected to the sub correctly, press sys on your remote then press button 8 to test if the speakers are working then increase the volume to hear the spaekers. so to link TV audio/sound with DVD press sys then A-2 on the DVD remote, I hope these will solve ur problem?

No sound from front right and left speakers

you may have a dc condition present on speaker outputs. this could be caused by dry solder joints, suggest blanket resolder of the output stages for front channels.
