Kenmore 110.92380200 washer lid switch replacement
The lid switch of my Kenmore washer model# 110.92380200 broke and needs to be replaced. I can get the part no problem but how can I replace it? How can I take the broken one out and put the new on in? Thanks in advance.

You first have to remove the 2 phillip head screws on your face panel. There is one on each side located about 1 inch from the front corner.tThese 2 screws are holding down the entire front timer panel.Ok,now lift up & forward at the same time so you can swing back this timer panel and get it to balance back out of the way. Now, it becomes a little harder, locate the harness that your lid/spin switch is on by unscrewing the 2 screws on the spin switch.Pulling the bad switch away from your cabinet will expose the harness ,that way you will see where it is plugged in.After unplugging it your now ready to plug the new one in and just tuck in the harness in the cabinet.Flip the timer panel back down and screw it back down.Your done !!!

You will need to remove the exterior washer case in order to access it. The entire washer case comes off the frame on this model and is removed for access to the internal cabinet components. This is a lot easier than it sounds. The following link explains step-by-step how to access and replace a lid switch:
Yes I fixed my washer problem.
The washer was stopping before it would drain and spin. I would raise the lid and then close it back and it would start back up. So we figured the lid switch was broke.
Before you do anything you "unplug" the washer!
You have to pop the ends off the back panel with the buttons on it. Then you unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom of the panel and raise it up. Then you remove the brass clips that are holding the lid on. Then you move the whole washing machine cabinet out. My husband replaced the lid switch. Then we had to figure out how to get the cabinet back on right. That took some time but we did it. Then you repeat everything you did to take it off to put it back together.

You need to replace the Kenmore Washer Lid Switch. I had the same problem so being lazy I would just push down on the washer's lid and it would push the lid switch further down. making the water drain. after a while I just replaced the lid switch.
BAD LID SWITCH,YOU CAN REPLACE IT OR BY PASS IT,REMOVE THE 2 CONSOLE HEAD SCREWS ONE ON EACH SIDE,FLIP THE TOP UP,YOU WILL SEE THE LID SWITCH JACK,YOU CAN CUT THE 2 OUTSIDE WIRES AND PUT THEM TOGETHER WITH A WIRE NUT AND PLUG BACK IN,YOU HAVE NOW BY PASSED THE LID SWITCH AND YOUR GOOD TO GO-MIKE
