Bought a flash drive pny 8 g. auto down load not needed. how to fix required please

    Please provide more information, such as what the actual problem is.

    Some other information you could provide:

    Operating System (WindowsXP, Vista, Linux, DOS ...)

    What is it that you do or don't want to happen with your PNY drive.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers


if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem


check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

U NEED TO FORMAT IT 1ST INSERT THE FLASH DRIVE GO TO MY COMPUTER GO TO THAT DRIVE IT MYT B NAMED AS STORAGE (E) OR (F) DAN RIGHT CLICK ON IT SCROLL DOWN TO PROPERTIES CHOOSE FORMAT AND SELECT QUICK FORMAT. HOPE THIS IS HELPFULLY. :)

Then you will have to use a diskette or a CD, download the driver on some other computer, unpack and copy it to the diskette or burn on a CD-R.

Windows says not enough space on pny 8 gig flash drive

Try formatting the drive as NTFS instead of FAT32 (assuming you are using it only on Windows computers). FAT32 doesn't support files over 4GB.
