Unfortunately the OS was corrupt and wasn't able to get it working. I have contacted alpine they want 70$ to get it reflashed with an os. If I do it I'll be making an image of it just incase this happens again.

Hi there, unfortunately there isn't an easy or inexpensive way to recover them. There is a small chance that if you take your answering machine to a data recovery place near you, they can recover some of your messages. It may cost hundreds of dollars, as data recovery is very expensive. Sorry! Alex

and if in xp control panel...system .. device manager .. click on the display and uninstall ... click on display adapter and uninstall .. turn off and reboot place whatever disk in the cd the installation wiz ask's for and let the system do the rest. follow the same proceadure and install the next device then reboot and see if that has cured your problem if not there may be the chance your set has had a knock and the LCD has been damaged ... hope this helps Regards Vortash
Hi, If the HDD still spins up then you may be able to plug it in to another computer as a secondary and then either be able to view and copy the data straight from there ir if it unaccessible in normal ways there is software that will be able to view and copy off most of your data.
If the HDD is stuck or jammed and does not spin then unfortunately there is not much chance of getting anything.
