Westenn, if there is no black ink on the alignment page, then your black cart is empty or the nozzles need cleaning. Your printouts will be blank if you're printing text since that would be black and you're out of black ink. Try cleaning it by carefully wiping the nozzles with a cotton ball swabbed in rubbing alcohol, and try cleaning the nozzles through the Solution Center. If that fails, try a new black cart - install it, print alignment and then everything should work.
eshchory - the tech may be wrong. If the accounting prog doesn't send print data to the spooler in a way in which the driver expects, then it's not the driver's fault, but worse it's not likely you can resolve the issue. You can try updating both the app and driver to the latest versions to see if it fixes it, but it isn't likely. Sometimes apps like this just won't work with certain brands of printer. If you were to get another brand of printer and see if it prints from the accounting prog, that might tell you once and for all who's to blame.
