Question about Kodak EasyShare C613 Digital Camera

1 Answer

LCD Display window

This is my daugthers camera, she dropped it the other day and now their is no clear image on the display. The camera still takes pictures but their is no way to view/line up your photo or view it after the photo is taken. You also cannot view the online menu. Given that we only paid about $70 for the camera at a day after Thanksgiving sale last November, is the camera worth trying to have repairedd?

This is the problem, when she dropped it, some gears inside it got shoved out of place. If the screen or anything glass you can see is still intact, that's a good sign that it probably didn't break any of the fragile gears but if it isn't intact then you need to get it repaired, although that could cost up to $100 and that's how much this camera costs

Why is image not displaying on LCD monitor?

Need more info. Does the menu display? Then LCD probably good. If the menu does not display, then LCD (or its driver circuitry) is probably bad. Not display after taking a photo? Or not display when you push the arrow button to turn on display. Check to make sure card is in camera. Set menu to factory default to make sure some setting in the custom functions isn't turning off the LCD. Also check the brightness level.

I have a problem with my camera. When i want to make picture my camera don"t have image, but have sound. LCD display is black

after taking the picture connect it to the computer and see there if any image or video is available.if yes then your cam's lcd display has problems.either it needs to be repaired or it should be replaced.probably you should have dropped the cam down hard.please take it the nearest service center to get it done since it needs a pro to change it.please do not try to repair it yourself unless you know well, how to do it.i am telling this since the cam needs re-calibration after being opened.

Wont show image in the lcd display while taking photo?

Can you more clearly what you mean "while taking photo"?If lcd not display image...is that any text or symbol in the lcd?If you can still see the symbol or text in the lcd, I think you have trouble in your lens or ccd.
Trouble in the lens usually make the lcd display white screen. And, if ccd trouble the lcd display white horisontal line and if so hard broken the lcd display black screen, but the symbol or text is shown.

So camera doesn't give live view to take picture? and you can view old / stored  pictures OK, is it?
If yes, then it is problem of CCD imager in Canon A80 and this part needs to be replaced.

Camera will not show image when shooting on lcd, why?

press the "disp" button in your camera twice or thrice.
even if the display is not coming means check if the lens cover is opening in front of camera.
if its open and display s not getting displayed means try to reset the camera.
Have you tried a hard reset on their camera by removing the main power batteries for 60 seconds and the reinserting them as if it were the first time power up. This may not fix your particular problem, but when the processor that runs all of the electronic features of the camera gets confused, this is the best way to clear its confusion.
even if problem is not cleared take it to service centre.

White horizontal lines on display.

Cameras dont like drop tests! Check if you are getting the same results on the images- printed or viewed on the computer screen. This will prove whether is is a LCD error or CCD error or Processor error But the remedy will be that same New Camera
