Question about Samsung ML-2571N Laser Printer
Both of the lights on the front are on and green. Nothing will print. Tried turning it on and off, unplugging etc. but won't print...
I got the same problem. It seems they did not develop specific drivers for win98se. However, I found that you can print using the drivers for the old Samsung ML-2510. Win98se drivers for that printer can still be downloaded from Samsung website. I've been using the 2510 drivers with the 1640 printer for a couple of months, and worked fine so far. It seems very little change in electronics from the 2510 to the 1640 model.
You need also Virtual Printer Port for USB from microsoft.

SOURCE: Samsung ml 1640 after refill
Its unfortunate a lot of times after the ink has been refilled a lot of companies do not have the proper equipment to reset the cartridges and this is what happens. It will give a test print but the printer is not reconizing it as one of its own. It could just be a bad refill job. I would suggest taking it back to the place you refilled it had see if they can replace it for you.
