The resistors will pick up the resistance from the circuits and give a false reading. You have to unsolder one leg of the resistor and pull that end out of the circuit then check it for resistance. If it doesnt register with one leg out of circuit that resiostor is bad and needs to be replaced.

We have the Mitsu WS-65315 and have the same situation of turning the power on and it turning right back off again, after pressing the menu and input button as suggested, it is 2 blinks, a pause, and then...

THE WS-65315 with the 2-2 error code means one or both of the soldered in pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit for this set are blown.

This model uses two of the STK-394-250 CHIPS. Both chips will have to be located along with the fuses--most of these sets also have several resistors around the chips--any bad ones will either test OPEN and or will be discolored or white in the middle.

Total parts cost on Ebay for most of the things you will need is under 40 dollars. The repair involves getting at the chips and other parts and being able to unsolder/replace and solder the new parts in.

If you can do it you can save a lot of money as most shops are going to get at least 300 for this repair.

Let me know if you locate the chips etc inside the set-UNPLUG THE SET FIRST. I can tell you what things you will need and where to get them. I have seen several places on the internet that also provide written or video instructions for this repair.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

ok 12 means no error detected so your set must have a standby voltage problem which is preventing the set from powering up. possibly a low voltage regulator is defective.

Convergence problem

Those are the correct ICs for that model, Did you check the resistors located right next to the ICs for being open? usually one or two of the resistors will be open. you need to unsolder one side of the resistor and lift it out of circuit to accurately check wether its open or not. let me know if you need more assistance

Ws-65315 won't turn on

Need to know more, 1-2 is no error code, you say will not turn on, do it has led light on or do you hear sound in set like high voltage? Any lights blinking? Or just completely dead, like fuse blown?

Convergence problem

Some mitsubishi sets have been famous for sparse solder around the convergence ICs. Try re-soldering the huge ICs attached to the big heat sink. This will no doubt cure your problem. f not let me know
