Question about Kodak EasyShare M853 Digital Camera
Hey i just took mine apart and i found out how to fix it. okay frist you need to take the front and back covers off then be very careful and theres a screw at the bottem of the plasma screen then unclip the top and the right side then slowly pull it to a 90 degree angle so you dont tear any wires then you'll see the back of the lens right behind the plasma screen there will be a wide group of wires coming from it all you have to do is push it back down. and bada bing bada boom it works again

What it sounds like to me without actually looking at the camera is that the LCD screen is cracked, but of course it also could be the camera sensor. It is unlikely that it is the lens, but I would have it looked at by an authorized service technician. The manufacturers warranty usually doesn't replace the camera it repairs it, and damage to the camera is usually not covered.

I am having the same problem and it stated around the same time. May 10th. I bought mine at Target on Black Friday and love the camera. I tried online support but waited for over a hour and could wait any longer. :(
