Yipes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah it can be fixed but it is gonna cost ya.
Since plasma sets are the best but no longer being made you just might want to make the investment. You could look for a non working model on ebay for parts, craigslist, etc.
I have the same problem, currently searching for a solution. Have you resolved your problem yet? Looking to repair myself, any tips or ideas that you have/expirenced would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Todd
I had the same problem and fixed with a great online tutorial. Just replace 3 capacitors available at Radioshack onthe the board. 2662, 2663, 2664 1 is a 1000uf the others are 100uf. Max Volts need to be over 25. It worked great, check http://dynamicorange.com/2008/06/25/fixing-a-plasma-tv/

It is a very strange case that you have.
I think that bose is correct, there is definetly an electromagnetic interference with the system, but the strabge part is that panasonic plasma tvs are not supposed to emit such EMI and they should be shielded.
one advice is that to verify this try putting on the tv, and bring a portable radio close to it and see is there is a change in the sound, if there is one, then definetly your tv is emitting EM fields. this could be due to a factory defect in the tv, have it checked by the retailer where you got your tv.
a second solution is to place the receiver of the bose system further away from the tv and try using both of them.
Sounds like something is shorted. Don't keep trying to turn it on it will most likely either ruin the Power supply or something else. Have someone qualified look at it. Good luck. Jay
