Door opener we just but a new house,and we don't have a code to open the garage door,how to put a new code? thank you!

Ounce you reset ALL code of the garage door opener (engine hook up to the ceiling of the garage that open up the door), ounce you press the reset button on the unit, it disable all transmitter (portable or the one install in your vehicle). Your garage door opener has a receiver in it and your all units that you press on to open the door are the transmitter, so by pressing the reset button on the door opener, you erase all codes of all the transmitter that where programmed to open-up that door.

So if you teach your vehicle using a portable unit and you now reprogram your new vehicle with the SAME portable transmitter, then yes who ever has your stolen vehicle can come back with your stolen vehicle to your house and open up your garage door since you re-programmed the door opener using the SAME transmitter same code sent to the unite to active it).

Buy a new transmitter to re-programmed your new vehicle

And you don't even give a model or manufacturer?

On the rear of the g. door opener, there is a learn buttom.

The first step is to push this button in.

Then go to the remote and enter the new code you want

Press and hold the enter button.

The lights will blink and or you will hear two clicks.

The code you entered should be learned and ready to use

If you are trying to change the code of your remotes the answer is you can't. If you erase the code by holding in the smart/learn button and the reprogram your opener you are putting the same codes in that were there before.

It sounds like you probably have a metal garage door. Make sure the battery in the keypad is good. Replace it with a new one.

on the back of your garage door opener there is a colored learn button--press and release-the learn indicator light will glow for a short time usually 30 seconds. within thirty seconds press and hold the buton on the hand held remote that you wish to operate your garage door. release the button when the motor unit lights blink. if you don;t have a light, two clicks will be heard. it has learned the code. procedure will be different for multi function control.

simple ;find the smart button on the opener and pressit ,their will be an indicater light next to the smart button that will remain lit ,then go over to the keypad and put your 4 digit code in example1234 then press enter on keypad and hold down for 3 seconds until garage door opener lightbulbs shut down and come back on , and thats it simple as pie! when the lights go on and off on your machine it,s telling you that it has received the code that you just programmed into it , guaranteed to work everytime , Thank you for letting me help you Sincerely Glenn mayer

Have you tried to re-learn the remote? The instructions should be inside the opener cover.

It might be your batteries are dying, or that someone has been tampering with it and messed up the combination. You can get the manual if you don't have it anymore by searching Google for "chamberlain whisper drive garage door opener change code". Page through the instructions and reset the motor control to erase all your remotes, put new batteries in the one on your wall and the one in your car if it's not the kind that's built into the car, and then follow the instructions to program new codes.

You have to press a Yellow/Purple button on the back of the garage door opener unit.
It is the LEARN button. Then enter a new four digit code into the keypad and press the enter button.
The unit should click and the lights should flash. This acknowledges it has learned the new code.
