Good Day, spaceace33;

Try this:

Symptom: No control of aspect, DCAM may come on by itself, anything other than 480i into component causes rolling and tearing
Cause: Replace I010, This part is a 3.3 volt (micro) to 5 volt (other logic) level shifter HD74HCT245AF, Hitachi part number CK38491R
Hope this was helpful, big IRISH.

How do I get rid of those black bars on the side of my TV?

Your aspect ratio should be at 16:9 for wide screen TV's to get the full picture without stretching it, including plasma, lcd and led TV's. In the older TV's, the aspect ratio should be on 4:3 to get the best image.

How do i get a full picture on my secnium hd tv?

Hello

To get the picture full screen come to screen aspect ratio settings.

The Screen Format feature allows you to change how the image of a 4:3 picture

is displayed on your 16:9 screen. The options are Normal, Zoom or Stretch. If

your TV receives an image with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the image can be displayed in

one of three ways:

Normal The image of a 4:3 video signal is centered with black bars on the
right and left sides of the screen

To get ito this setting mode
Enter the main menu and go to preferences select the screen format; option-2; and change the settings to get a full picture.
OK.

How can I get full screen image without distortion on tv viewing? I only get 4:3, zoom, full and justified. Full looks stretched horizontally with tv, looks ok with dvd.

Hello
Most of the telivision transmissions are comes at an aspect ratio of 4:3. Wide aspect ratio is 16:9. If you try to see a picture with aspect ratio 4:3 to wide 16:9, it will look like stretched. it is not the fault of the tv. Most DVD recording have the aspect ratio of 16:9 [Wide]. This aspect ratio will be displayed correctly when your tv is also set to wide mode. If you select normal mode at this condition, the picture will be displayed elongated. Ok Your Tv has no probelm.

JUST PURCHASED A 60 INCH DLP TELEVISION MOST TV CHANNELS ARE NOT FULL SCREEN.... WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE TO INLARGE THE PICTURE TO FIT THE 60 INCH SCREEN ?

Channels that transmit in 480 or 720 may not fill the screen. You can use the Aspect or Zoom button or feature to expand those channels to fill the screen but there may be some stretching in one direction or parts of the picture may extend beyond the edge of the TV. Some TVs have a "justified" setting that will not distort the center of the picture and just stretches the corners. Look in your manual for Picture Size, Aspect, or Zoom for details about your TV.

I had the same problem. What you need to do is change your aspect ratio on your TV. Should be on your TV remote. While you wont get a full screen mode you will get very close. I cant remember what aspect I switch my plasma too I think Full mode. Anyways hope this helps.

Panasonic TV 50 inch plasma

Dear RyanVa21;
Try changing the picture size with your set's remote, press the aspect ratio button. The remote must be the original Panasonic remote.
Please let me know if that did it.

Thanks!
