My frigidaire fef336ece oven quit working after I heard a pop, how would I repair this?

Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from heating. You had a power surge when the power came back on and it took out the control board. I see this all the time in the field and replace these boards. Here is the part you need to order.

That pop was the magnetron frying. This is a repairable problem, but feirly expensive, around $300 if you have it done by a professional.

thermostat possible open check not sure if this model has a resettable or not

There is a oven controller on those type ovens and if you cannot get your oven to heat up but the stove top still works it is because there are on different circuits and the cotroller will cost near $350 if you have a convection oven and twice that for a service person to install!!

Not popping sound you heard was the element popping take care of it out did you take your fingers and go round the outside of the element you'll find a whole the place that element you get your heat back

if an element itself had shorted it would not stop the other from working and you could inspect each element and see blistering as evidence.the pop you heard has to be in common with both elements but not the cook top[burners]so thats going to be the wiring in the back of range, or switching,[thermostat,clock timer or oven selector switch,depends on which model you have]you will have to pull range and remove back pannels.you will find an obivous burn't connection.too repair all new connections must be clean and tight,or will burn again.

power surge,,replace board

Oven was working, I had it on pre-heat, then I turned on the stove top, but the burners won't heat. When I turn on the stove top the stove makes a short BUZZ noise and the clock area lights up, when the burner is turned off all the lights go out. Please help, food prepared.
