Monitor no singnal found.... problem (by 2 users)

My PC VGA card is working find with other monitors. But resently my 1.5 yr old LCD monitor is not deteting PC output VGA signals. (no singnal found on power up LCD monitor display message) I know that my PC VGA card is working find. tested with our LCD monitor.. This problem started with I think it happen during power line surge with lighting then monior VGA card may having issues. Is there any way to force monitor to detect PC VGA signals hot wiring to see if LCD monior may work this way to detect PC vga card signals??
