Xerox phaser 6120 laser printer paper jam fuser

I am having trouble removing a paper jam at the fuser on my xerox phaser 6120-it seems that I cannot even reach the paper enough to pull it out, is there a way that I can take a part off to reach it?

Thank you!!

Warped paper caused a jam in upper portion of 6120 causing jam
indicated by menu stating jam at Transfer (?). Removed image unit
and pulled sheet out. Unit commenced printing(without selection)
and jammed then at Fuser. Paper removed, in pieces. (all?).
Reinsert image unit and unit commences printing again, like
before. Jam at Transfer. Unable to release paper to
remove. Turn off and reboot. Same readout. User guide is
less than amusing and less helpful than that. They should include jokes
    in their manuals.

I came across this unit at a place I do repairs at and the LCD showed Jam @ Fuser. I could reach the paper and tried to pull it down and out of the unit, but no luck. It just tore in MANY pieces and is still in the fuser unit. Like the other user mentioned, the manual is a joke...just the basic "sunny day" scenarios and nothing helpful. I can't see any other way to get the remaining paper out. The expert that "answered" this problem also gave the stock answer and although it was appreciate, was not helpful. Thank you. dmsinger.

Same problem - did what "tryit" said - that worked but noticed a small gray wheel sitting on the paper. looks like it came loose while printing and now the paper will not feed properly and jams EVERY time.
of course the machine is not under warranty anymore.
    would love some help.

Fix, well i am a dentist in Marysville washington and just got this printer from a family member and same thing was going on.
I looks like paper stuck in the middle roller. I just got a small mirror and pair of dental tweezers and removed a lot of jammed paper. it works fine now but you need do go to the dental section in drug store, so you can see where the jam is at.

You can remove the imaging unit, then
Depending on the stock being used for the job, raise or lower the left and right colored Fuser separator levers. The levers will stay in the raised or lowered position on their own.
the levers are green. The fuser itself is not easy to remove.
Do you have any warranty left on the machine? Or a depot repair agreement?

I have a Xerox Phaser 6180 MFP, and it keeps saying paper jam and there is no jam, what can I do?

Check the fuser for paper stuck in it.

Check that the 'paper out' sensor arm (in the fuser) is not broken. If it IS broken, you'll need a new fuser.

Xerox Phaser 7700DN jam at fuser

Those rollers are necessary to feed paper from the fuser. Order PN 116-1759-00 which is the 15 inch long shaft w/ 4 rollers

Xerox Phasor 6120 jams at top and right in middle of fuser

Most likely just one of the pick fingers has popped out in the fuser and is stuck in between the rollers.
You can remove the fuser and look, they are somewhat pointed fingers and are spring loaded. They make contact with the rollers and often times pop off. You want to look at the condition of the heat roller also. It is a teflon coated aluminum roller. Just check to see if the teflon coating is still shiney.
Looking at the printers if you want to replace it, I would go with the 6180. Don't go with the solid ink color, Extremely expensive to operate.

Laser color printers

I know the phaser 7400, 7700, 7750 and 7760 are usable with transfer paper, as well as the larger platforms such as the 250.
I have thought that the 6120 can be used for that. It has a fuser, and most every product that uses a fusing type ink should be able to use transfer paper.

Not sure how long you have had that machine. But remove the paper and the tray. Dampen a slft cloth with some soapy cleaner, such as fantastic or Formula 409. Look into the paper feed area for the rollers and clean them well. Maybe 2 or 3 times. Then if you have some handy wipe them again with some alcohol.
Your feed rolls, depending on how many pages you have run, may be worn out and need replaced. But that should not occur with less then 40-50 thousand prints on it.
I suspect just some contaminant on the feed rolls.
Let me know please.
