This is normally caused by cable/antenna connections

  • Unplug all cables from TV and receiver
  • Plug them back in.
  • Check antenna location and the direction
  • Try another cable for TV connection to receiver.

Are you using the rf antenna input for TV or 1 of the VIDEO inputs from a cable box or sat receiver. If the latter check to see if you unplugged the audio fron the box White and red wires from box. If thats ok Plug that dvd player into that input using the cabes from the dvd player .If you now have sound change ables from box. if still no sound cable box bad. If still no sound from that input check for solder connection on input jacks. If antenna input is used replace the tunner intv.

The coaxial cable antenna broke on my RCA tv

The part is called a Female Belling-Lee Socket. Radio Shack, or anywhere that sells antennas, CB radios, repairs TV sets, should have one. Soldering it in, is another matter. Be careful.

Broken Antenna Port

If you have already identified where the connection was on the board you will have to access the board to be able to solder back to the points where the old connector was. Once you have identified the two solder points (One should go to ground and the other if you can with the tv on touch it and see if a picture tries to come in or get rid of the snow). Then buy a matching transformer from radio shack or Home Depot, Lowes. Normally this would go on the outside antenna. But you want to take it and clip and strip the ends that have the forks. Solder this to the board, one to ground and the other to the point that would have been center on the old broken piece. This will have a 72 ohm or a connection that your antenna will connect to.

More on flyback replacement

Kevin,
You can get a replacement flyback #259296 at the following link and they provide free installation instructions with detailed pictures on how to do the repair. I would also let them know about the antenna/cable as they have all parts available for your model and they have a reputation of making good deals on parts that they have a large supply of. You can leave them a email include the model number of your set. Heres the link.

Broken antenna in jack on samsung lcd tv

Ok pretty easy fix... it has most probably broken away from the PC board, and sometimes the "Old" one can be simply resoldered back into position else... get a replacement Belling-Lee Socket from say.. Radio Shack etc, and simply resolder it back, from where it has become detached from.. it will be obvious when examined, there are only TWO connections, Earth and Centre. Carefully remove the Case, find the spot, resolder/reconnect it back on.. ya good to go.

DO NOT work on it while plugged in! GL.

Cable connector broken

You can buy replacement antenna jacks for this. What you have to do is remove the tuner and it's shields, then unsolder the little tab off the board of the tuner which is what remains when they break off. Then you can resolder the new jack in place and the center pin back to the board of the tuner.
