Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My hotmail account password was changed, by someone other than myself. I tried to go to the site for forgot password and when I did the secret question did not work. it then told me to send a password reset to another email account, which happened to be the same account that I cannot get into. Is there anyway to be able to get into the hotamil account if these steps have already been made

Dear mwh8282, there is no way to get in if the account has been hijacked by someone.

Please contact directly the hosting service (Hotmail) and try to sort this out.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hello, someone hacked my password on hotmail. I don't know how to create a new password to be able to get back my messages on hotmail. Can you help me please ?You can answer me on the adress :...

Hi there! :) if you can't log in to your hotmail account you need to do this steps :)
Click your email link in Hotmail. Click on the words "Forgot Password" found under the sign on link. On the next page, there are two ways to reset your lost password, "Verify Information and Reset Password Online" or "Send Reset Instructions to my Email Address".
2.Answer the questions on the next page. This is the information you provided to Hotmail when you signed up for your account. Enter your country, state and zip code and the answer to your secret question.
3.Choose a new password. Make sure this is something you can remember but is hard for someone else to guess.
4.Ask Hotmail to send the password reset information to your email if you do not remember the answers to the secret question. An email will arrive at the alternate email address you provided during registration.
5.Open the email and click on the link. Follow the instructions to change your password.
6.Confirm your new Hotmail password by signing into your Hotmail account. Save your new password in a safe place
hope it works :)

Someone has hacked my hotmail address, what do i do

Create another hotmail account and let all your contacts know that you have been hacked. That way they will be able to block any dubious emails from the hacked account.
Then contact hotmail staff using the new hotmail email you created, give them as much info as possible to help them sort it out. They should be able to change the password for you.
Finally run a virus scan on your computer, just to be on the safe side

If you put in your information on an untrustworthy site, your email may have been hacked. You can try clicking "forgot your password?" or "Forgot Password" and request to enter a new one. Also, make sure Caps Lock is off when you enter it.

Can't get into messenger..or hotmail accts. This message shows up... Someone may have used your account to send out a lot of junk messages or done something else that violates the Windows Live Terms of...

It's quite likely that somebody has "hacked" your ID/password, and is "hijacking" your ID to send thousands of E-mail messages.

Access http://www.hotmail.com to make sure that you are getting the "real" Hotmail web-site, not some imposter.

Point at the "sign in" area, and click the now-visible "Sign In" button.

Click "Forgot your password", and follow the instructions for answering your "secret" questions.

Correctly answer the questions, and you'll get to change the password.

Someone has hacked into my sons msn and sent abusive msgs to his friends he cant get back in to his site who do i call for asssistance?

Somehow for whatever reason you've forgotten the password, the answer to your secret question and never set up, or no longer have access to the alternate email address associated with the account. Or your account has been hacked and your password, secret answer and alternate email address have all been changed.
I cannot help you.
Contact your email service provider and tell them what it happening. They should have some way of identifying you, after which they should be able to reset your password. This is typically the approach for pay services - they may verify your identity with your credit card number or some other piece of information they collected at the time you signed up.
Unfortunately, this almost never works for free accounts. Why? Because these accounts are free, there's almost no customer support. You get what you pay for.
Let me be even clearer about that:
If:
You're using a free email service such as HotMail, Yahoo, and others
... and you forgot or lost your password
... and you forgot or lost the answer to your secret question
... and you did not set up an alternate email address, or you lost access to the alternate email address
... and customer service is not responding to you
You are out of luck.
I know of no way to recover your account. I cannot help you.
You absolutely can and should try contacting customer service for the email service you are using - they are the only ones who could help you. But my experience is that they rarely do.
Learn from your mistake.
If you lose access to your account and cannot recover it, you'll want to set up a new account. Learn from this.
Choose good passwords that you will remember. It's tough, given the number of accounts and passwords we all need to remember, but the fact is choosing a hard-to-guess password, and changing it regularly are important steps you can take to avoid someone stealing your account.
Don't share your password with anyone. A number of the account hacks I hear about are the result of trusting someone you shouldn't have.
Remember your secret answer. I'm kind of surprised I even have to say this, but when you create an account that asks you for a secret question and answer, don't treat it lightly. It doesn't have to be true ... just make sure it's something you'll remember in a year or two or ten when (not if) you have a problem.
Set up an alternate email address. This is where password reminders would get emailed to. And remember that if you lose access to your alternate email address, you need to change it in any accounts that reference it.
Don't use "remember me" when logging in. At least, don't use it unless you're positive it's safe. If someone else walks up to the computer (be it in an internet cafe, or in your bedroom or office) and "remember me" is selected ... they can now login as you without knowing your password. And then they can change your password and everything else, locking you out of your own account.
And, perhaps most important of all:
Don't use free email accounts for anything important.
