GHE monogram ice maker.

Ice maker makes ice fine.
Selector selects water fine.
When selecting ice, or crushed ice, "click" sounds yet the "drill" that pushes the ice, towards the "exit" does not turn.

Any idea?

I have the same issue and jamming the drawer back did not solve my issue. The drive mechanism that turns the auger seems jammed since it is not turning. According to the manual, I should be able to turn it a little bit to align it properly but I am not able to. How should I troubleshoot that? I cannot find any instructions on how to take it apart.

Pull the icemaker out, say be one inch, shack it a bit, and jam it back in. We've done that each time we had that problem, before it started to work. The icemaker is designed poorly, my openion, and gets jammed easily each time you use the crushed ice. crushed ice jams the ice crusher, and cloggs the pathway resulting a no ice dispensing situation. Also try using only whole ice cubes, instead of the crushed ice. the less you use the crusher the less you'll have to problem. one last thing. if the ice is sitting in the basket for a while, due to poor ice despensor opening door design, the ice in the basket cloggs together causing the probelm.

Why can't I select cubed ice on my ge monogram fridge, all of the other buttons work fine.

the reason for this problem is a jam of ice inside the ice bin that will not let the knives that crush the cubes, and cant release to let cubes go by uncrushed, remove the ice bin,put the remaining cubes in a bucket,or toss, then check the ice auger in the bin and if theres a build-up of ice melt it with hot water, then thoroughly dry it,then replace this unit into the freezer, but do not use it until its cold again from melting the ice jam, then resume the ice making cycle

GE ice maker crushed ice selector does not work. It does work for cubes and water. Pushing the door button when cubes are selected causes the assembly in the back of freezer that moves a rod to open the...

Crushed ice makers have a tendency to freeze up the mechanism. So you might want to deinstall your ice maker and let it defrost for a day or two.

That would be where I started, but if that didn't fix the problem I would move on to the electronics/

My icemaker won't switch back to cubed ice. all i keep getting is crushed ice. HELP

If you select cube and hold open the door and push in on the light switch and have someone push the lever for ice you should hear a loud click this is from the selector switch in the back that engages a long brass colored rod under the ice maker if you hear this loud click you probably have some crushed ice in the crusher keeping it from switching back open the door and push in on the light switch and have someone push for cube ice it will kick ice out the bottom so dont be alarmed. (sometimes you have to do this a couple times) good luck

I have a Kenmore side by side, not sure the model, but it's probably 10 years old or so. It has an ice maker with water, cube and crushed ice dispenser. The ice maker works fine, but it will not dispense...

Most of the time the bin has been removed and not put back in properly. When this happens ice blocks the drive motor. Remove the bin and turn the auger by hand make sure it will turn and is not jammed. Now with the bin out push the light button in that turns the light out and have someone push the button for ice while the door is still open the motor should turn in the back make sure thereis no ice blocking it. If it turns nothing is wrong with the motor. The clicking sound is usually the motor jammed by ice or the auger not engaged on the motor. hope this helps good luck

GE PSS25MGMA Crushed ice only, nothing else will select on panel.

Yes , replace the main board . Part number WR55X10656 . There is only partial communication between the main board and the dispensor board . This main board , is behind the 8 " X 10 " panel , on the back of the refrig . Do not replace the dispensor board . I have never come across a bad dispensor board yet . Always a first time though .

Could you look on the bottom frame of your GE Monogram around the door frame and behind the fresh food section door seal for the model number? The problem most likely is in that control panel that you use to switch from crushed to cubes. Let me know, Sea Breeze
