This is caused by a defective hard drive. Possible reason is dropping the player. You need to change the hard drive to make it work again. You need a 1.5" (20GB) hard drive.

There is a problem with the circuit board of the device. Since the device is just 3 weeks old, I'm sure that it's still under the warranty. You need to contact the manufacturer for free repair. They need to check also the connection and components inside of it.

I have the same problem, sometimes, if I plug it up to the computer, with usb port and press the computer option, keep pluging and unpluging over and over it will reset and starts working again. But it still fails, It may have something to do with the internal battery being weak. Even thought it shows charged, may not be able to supply the current required to start the hard drive.

My INOI also has the same problem. It says "PARTITION ERROR" when I turn on (using the USB drive plugged into the computer). Upon reading and researching on the Internet, I feel that the battery inside may be weak for startup. Looks like installing a new battery would help ??
