Hi,
to trouble shoot the wireless.
1. make sure the wireless driver is installed properly, check in the device manager under network adapter. can you see your wireless ?
if you can't see your wireless card, it's mean something wrong with the hardware.
if there is a yellow mark on your wireless card, it's mean it doesn't work properly, try to re-install wireless driver.
Make sure that you enable your wireless in device manager.

2. if there is a switch for wireless adapter on your laptop to enable/disable wireless. try to switch it and see if it can detect any network.

3. also make sure your network router is working.

4. if you still have problem (can't detect network) after that trouble shoot, it could be your wireless card is bad or your mainboard is bad. most of the time is wireless card.
