I've got a nissan primera, 2004, radio was faulty so I got a 2nd hand one off ebay with code, I fitted radio and all it says on the screen please wait that stays one for a min or 2, then it says secur

Turn radio on and leave! It could be minutes or hours.....depends on how many attempts to input code have been made! The radio will eventually be ready to accept code! If you turn radio off before it reaches the code stage the process starts again.......so turn radio on and leave, just keep checking the screen for indication of code ready to be input!

My amps wont turn on but it was just fine yesterday

check the amp. fuse, if this is OK with the radio On check the turn on wire at the amplifier must have voltage if not, check if this wire has voltage at the radio if there is voltage, the wire is broken some where.

yes there is. depending on the radio's output (sometimes found on the front of the radio) you can use a volt mete on the ac scale of volts and put the red probe in or on the center leg of one of the rca's coming out of the radio and the black one on the metal round outside portion of the rca and turn the radio up should be in the range of 2 to 4 volts ac if not you have no signal and depending where you take the test it could be the rca's or the radio. first start at the amp end of the rca's and take test there on all rca's jack's if nothing remove the radio and take the test at the rca's coming out the back and if no voltage there then the issue is with the radio if there is then tthe issue is the rca cable and if you have voltage theough out then your issue is with the amp. if you have any more question please ask. good luck

PG won't release schematic diagrams. Are the burned components resistors? If so, what are their circuit board designations (Rxyz)?

You are going to have to remove the center console, remove the screws, this should make the dash screws visible. Remove those. You'll have bolts on the bottom of your dash, below your steering wheel. Remove those. There'll be screws underneath that remove them. You should have clips all the way across your dash. You'll have to probably remove any knobs on your dash. But your whole left side dash will have to be removed. If you are uncomfortable with this; please consult car audio dealer for help. Once you have your dash removed, unclip your wires running to your dash lights. You should be able to pry the center of your dash off now. Find the screws holding your radio in. Now you should be able to replace your radio. Let me know if you have any further issues...
