It started with black lines for about 1-2 weeks then opened it up couple days ago and screen doesnt work....the inside screen is fine but the front wont will not work ive tried takin the battery in and out and beating the front(wouldnt recommend that procedure) and restarting the phone like a million times some one respond PLEASE!! it driving me insane

I had practically the exact same problem. For a while,(3-5 days), bits and lines of the sceens showed while calls were still working, then one day nothing. Only one horizontal, blue line across the inside screen and now I cant even power it up to download anything onto the micro SD card. ***Although, occasionally... the "VerizonWireless" Logo appears on the front screen PERFECTLY! **NOTE** This problem began only 3 weeks after I received this phone new, and although (at that time) I spoke with tech support about the problem... they would only send me a 'refurbished' phone as a replacement because waited to request the replacement for a few more days while trying to save/download my data because tech support told me only the contacts could be transferred by them. Pretty sad customer service after being a so called "Merit Customer" for 5 years. :-(

My enV just started this by only showing the image on the right side and the rest dark blue, but sometime if I open it then close it, it's fine. I really like this phone and have only had it for 4 DAYS!!!

The exact same thing happened to me. About 2 months ago, the lines breifly appeared on my screen and then went away, but this morning, i used my phone to text someone, put it in my backpack like always and when i checked it about 10 minutes later, it had the lines and they havent gone away. I went to the Verizon store and the guy looked at it, checked the battery for water damage, and then gave me the number to call for a new phone. The ppl were all very nice and they said I should get a "new" one by Friday (in 3 days). Hopefully this isnt a common problem. Im sooo nice to my phone and i like it a lot. At least the Verizon ppl didnt try to say it was my fault and that I broke it and try to make me pay $900 for a new computer screen like Apple did for my MacBook.

Problem with lines going down the front screen.

If you got your phone from a verizon retailer new, you can call 1-866-406-5154, it's a verizon number, and tell them about the problem you're having with your phone and they'll send you a new one. you have to send the old one back but.. i'm on my 3rd env in the past 3 months and after the 3rd one they give you a new different phone, i guess of your choice, so if my 3rd one messes up (i just got it in the mail today so i t hasn't had time yet), i'll get a different phone. but i've had the same problem with my first 2 env's and they replaced it for me for free.

My screen is black too. It was working perfectly fine, but then, my grandmother was carrying my phone in her purse and her purse strap broke and her purse fell, and the only thing that fell out of her purse was my phone and it wasn't even from that high up at all. For like a day it was working but it had lines going through the screen and now it's completely black...:(
I don't know what to do.

Vertical lines in the scree of my 50

Several possible reasons include:

A bad board somewhere in the set.

A communication or Handshake issue--the boards communicate info to the main board and if not proper certain areas of the screen will have lines etc.

A power supply issue is rare for this but possible.

Last but not least the issue could be a defective PDP---Plasma Display Panel (entire front screen unit) which if is the problem is fatal from a cost point of view.

Not likely any of these are going to be either a do it yourself repair or be repaired in the home.

Blue line, blue out of sinc along botttom 1/4 of tv

If this is a Rear Projection T.V, your CRT is going bad. You can take the front cover off and make slight adjustments on the blue screen control to get rid of any lines, as far as the blurriness of blue, that part is 500 dollars to fix. The most you can do is just get rid of the lines. There's a black box. Make sure you are very gentle with your adjustments. Just turn it back to how it was if the screen shuts off. I recommend turning down the brightness of the T.V. before you do this repair.

Hello I have several (7) blue lines in an arch pattern spanning across the entire screen. Mostly noticeable in dark to black scenes. Was wondering if anyone knows what causes this and if there is a way I...

The Blue CRT ( Picture Tube ) has a short. You may be able to do a temp fix by turning down the Blue CRT drive level ( Located behind the front speaker grille )untill the lines disappear. But its only a temp fix. The Blue CRT will most likely need replacement.

My samsung lcd tv is 18 months old and has now developed shadow lines on the screen. Its more noticibale when things klike football and snooker are on as the screen is mostly the same colour is there...

Sounds like burn-in. Yep, LCD TVs can have it too. If you look close, I would bet you will the channels that has the bars down each side line up pretty good with that shadowy line. I have spoken with Samsung about this issue in the past, they will not cover it.

Big black dot on main screen

well...unfortunately that cant be fixed. you can try a software flash, which would just require that u take it to a vzw direct store, and back up ur memory because it could be erased. otherwise, ur phone has a 1 year warranty, take it to a store or call tech support to get a replacement.

Sony kp-65wv700

I followed GuestUser/ Slinteriors advice and I fixed it. Open the front of the TV and there are 6 little nobs in the front. The botton 3 are what you need to adjust. from left to right the color controls are BLUE, RED GREEN. For the blue lines, slightly (I really mean very slightly) turn the botton left nob clockwise (right).

Horizontal lines obstructing the second half of the ti 83 calculator screen, anyone know repair tips?

I had the same prob with vertical lines on the screen, and getting messed up when there was lots of numbers on the screen.

Solution: Change your batteries. Put some freshies in then adjust your contrast until you see the little black box. If you still have a problem with the lines, darken the screen until it's black (2nd up repeatedly) and let it sit for a couple minutes. Lighten your screen back to normal (2nd down) and turn off then turn her back on.
