I have had this problem with my SysteMax Ascent as well. Not sure if you re-installed your OS or not, but the same will still apply. What is happening is that your OS (assuming Windows) is not recognizing the onboard LAN adaptor, even with it's native drivers, so the driver must be downloaded and installed. But first..

What you will need to do is open up your PC and look on your Motherboard for (what will likely be) a Letter-Number combination that will be large in size. Mine was M7NCD, yours may be different. If yours happens to be M7NCD, then your Motherboard is manufactured by BioStar, and here is their webpage with the download that you will need:

It is located under Drivers, and be sure to check to the right of the download link to find which one will be compatible with your Operating System (OS).

If it is different, enter what you see into your favorite search engine, followed by 'drivers'. You should be able to find what you're looking for in the first few results. If not, just keep checking, and if needed, use different words in your search (like lan driver, chipset). A manufacture's website is usually the best result.

Once found, check for compatible OS and install. Your LAN adaptor should work now.

Also, for good measure, check in Device Manager (Start>Right-click properties>Hardware tab>Device Manager) for any exclamation points (black ! in a yellow circle) under Network Adaptors. If there are none, then it worked! If you do see any in a different category (Sound, video, game controllers for example), look on the webpage for any drivers for that category. After I re-installed drivers for the LAN adaptor, I also had to re-install drivers for the onboard sound card as well.

Lan card not found


Please, follow the instructions below, and reply with the status of your LAN driver:
Start>Control Panel>System & Security>Device Manager>Network Adapters...

Find your LAN card and see if it has a question mark by it. Try to right-click on it and update the driver. If that doesn't work, uninstall the driver, reboot your computer, and re-install the driver.

Also, let me know what model computer your using and whether or not its Windows XP..

In Windows 7 the driver installs automatically
I would suggest uninstalling all drivers for the network adapter then reboot and allow the system to find the NIC again. If this is Windows XP uninstall all drivers for the NIC, reboot, and install the above driver.
If it is Windows 7 uninstall the drive, reboot and allow device manager to locate the driver itself.

My computer cannot detect LAN I cannot see the drivers for that

I see you need drivers but it is not anywhere found in the Website, what version Windows are you using?
If the LAN driver is not present then possible you can just install the CHIPSET Drivers then it should work right, but I checked I do not see the CHIPSET Driver on the site as well.
LAN Drivers are Common just depends on what motherboard you have.

Network driver


The Network LAN driver is specific for each LAN card.
You can download the LAN card driver from the manufacturer's WEB site.
I could have given you the link to the manufacturer's WEB site but since you have not provided the make and model of your LAN card I cannot assist you.

If it is not onboard LAN card reinsert it after cleaning it's concact point with pencile eraser. And user proper driver for it. I think you don't have proper driver for your LAN card.
