Question about Bernina Bernette Deco 600

Bernina Bernette 600 Deco embroidery machine

I recently purchased a used Bernina Bernette 600 Deco embroidery machine. I stitches the first few stitches fine and then doesn't seem to catch the bobbin thread. I have rethreaded the machine and bobbin and replaced the needle. The error message states bent needle or thread entangled. Any suggestion

I ended up taking the machine to a dealer who cleaned and serviced the machine - it works fine now. Thanks.

I have wonky stitches? I've tried rethreading bobbin and machine but still my stitches are wonky.

Thread is looping and tightening under stitch till needle can't move anymore

The bobbin area is clear, needle is not bent, however the machine will not run.

    How to thread machine

  • Anonymous Mar 24, 2014

I purchased a Bernina 215 almost just over two weeks ago and have returned to the store twice so far. The problem is that the thread bunches up underneath when I start sewing. This last visit to the vendor/repairer - he said that the gap within the bobbin area was too narrow and catching the thread and that it was now okay. He then ventured to say that I have two years of free service. I am ready to return the machine and obtain a refund - please advise.

I bent a needle and now when I thread it the thread won't catch and make stitches or chain stitch. help

Wheel on the end of the machine, when tightened should turn the needle. It doesn't not, unless I manually get it going, and then stalls. All threads are out, machine is clean and oiled.

It could be that there is a loose piece of thread, or some fluff which is obstructing the tension gauge. Try blowing around the theading area (or even run the hoover pipe near it to see if you can **** it out). I cleared mine by folding a piece of non fluffy material and rubbing gently between the tension dial and machine.

Good luck

Currently, I saw a Bernette 600 Deco manual for sale on eBay; also he Bernette 500 Deco manual is available for download on the Bernina site. Before I purchased one, I would call Bernina to see if they have one you can either download or purchase. Their number is 630-978-2500. I also found one for sale for about $14.00 here: Bernina Sewing Machine Manuals Instruction Manuals

Need a manual for bernina bernette deco 600 and more information on the machine.

Yes, I need a manual for the Bernia Bernette Deco 600. Following the death of my daughter, My grand daughter said she did not want any of her mom's sewing equipment. I kept them for her and now she feels she would like to have the embroidery machine. However, we were unable to locate the manual for the deco 600. I am unable to locate one on line...only good reason...due to my inexperience at the computer I am unable to locate a manual for her. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely Nana Helen

DOES THE BERNINA BERNETTE DECO 600 ACCEPT .ART EMBROIDERY DESIGNS SUCH AS I USE FOR MY ARTISTA 730E? ALSO, DOES BROTHER MAKE THE BERNINA BERNETTE DECO 600?

Not sure if you found anything out, but Deco 600 uses PES format only.
If you have the software (Deco Wizard) sometimes you can change it to PES and save the design.
Good luck

Just got my used Bernina deco 650 from the shop. Tension off

The tensions are not calibrated properly. To get by, or if you do not want to take it back to the shop, just lower the upper tension a little at a time until it looks ok.

I have s Bernina deco 650 embrodiery machine and the stitches won't catch. I had this machine serviced before I moved from SD to an eastern state. It was sewing fine and just started making a noise like it...

Your timing is out in the bobbin area this will have to be reset, maybe the last time that you used it you had a cotton jam, and it was pulled out of alignment.

The original software for these machines will most likely not run on a newer computer. So if you find the software you will face this dilemma. You can use one of the multi format card boxes from sewing companies if they do not have a deco 600 style ask for the Brother embroidery machine it is the same card.
