My son threw away the box and paperwork for my printer, it is a lexmark X1240 how can I install without a cd

Go to the Lexmark web site and download the drivers that you need.

You can probably get a CD by contacting lexmark directly. Or you can download a driver from here:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0

Type in x1240 in the Search by Model box and choose your OS from there.

try the lex mark website..in the search box type model number if ur printer...select appropriate operating system and download drivers

Get online and go to there websight,look for your model,then look for the drivers,download and install.

Maybe.If the windows has that model shown you can. Or download the driver and install it:No VISTA driver available. Try installing forst w/o a disk by doing the following :
START - CONTROL PANEL - PRINTERS AND FAXS - IINSTALL PRINTER- When it askes if you have the disk , say no.

Here is the Lexmark driver page. Type in x1240 in the "select by model" box. Then on the next page,select your OS IE: XP,Vista.

i do not have a cd for lexmark printer x1240. i cannot install

the best thing to do is go to the printer manufacturer website and download the printer driver. Just enter the model no of your printer
