Use a Vacuum gauge , Inserted in plug to find the vacuum on each cylinder .
They should all be the same , One lower will indicate the defective cylinder . Once the head is removed , Use cylinder paint to detect cracks in head , It is wise to get head skimmed after removing , . Use new head bolts and torque to manufacture torque rating .. Black marks on screen

my lamp problems usually start with red shades in bottom corners - red, black - same issue I think.
check your hours of filter (and clean) - clean inside your housing as helps and check lamp hours - you usually get 1500 to 3000 hours (check your user guide for lamp hours)
try and live with problem until you need new bulb as not cheap

good luck

Is this blue tinge on the left side of the screen a lamp problem or the projector itself. the lamp for this Panasonic PT-AE700E was replaced only about a dozen hours ago. what is an optical block, and does...

Your problem is the optical block failing. This is very common with the AE700s. It actually happened to me once before and I had it fixed. After having it replaced, it was recommended I run my fan on high mode, run the lamp on low mode and change the back lit color to black from blue to help thwart the issue. The optical block fails due to heat stress from the projector. Doing the things above lower the heat and extend the life of the block. I have a perfeclty good optical block if you would be interested as buying them new are extrememly expensive.

I have an Epson Stylus 740 printer that won't print. It produces only blank pages. The ink level is more than 1/2 full and I have tried cleaning the heads many times. What do I do next?

Most printers have a 'demo' mode to display a sample printout for potential buyers. It doesn't require a computer for this and is normally accessed by holding down one (or more) of the buttons and then turning it on. You may have to try each button in turn and turning off the power between attempts. This is an internally generated page.
If is still failing to produce any copy, then the problem isn't with the computer or interface but with the circuitry of the printer or a failed printhead.
