Help how do i turn off the scroll on my lxi tv

I have a digital converter with a remote, on my LXI TV. Last night, as I was watching TV, the TV started to list its "features" in bright yellow scrolling messages from top to bottom. The scrolling features describe the connection, the cable compatibility, the brightness features, sharpness, etc. etc. The wording scrolls from top to bottom of the screen (right in front of the picture), and then repeats itself every 10 seconds.

I unplugged the set and re-plugged it. I used the TV remote rather than the converter remote to see whether I could stop the scrolling that way. ..No luck.

It's very annoying, and impossible to watch the TV with words eclipsing the picture.

Here is the oneforall website to find their codes. Simply select your product by model number or picture and click on the "manual" link underneath it, scroll down to approximately page 20 and the codes are there.Just make sure the code you try is under the TV heading.

I have a Slim-View LXI TV Model # PTV 515 AHO1 Has no Picture

while i dont have a true answer, I can tell you its a magnavox tv sold by sears produced back in 93. Ours just started doing this last week. I couldnt find any help online so we replaced it with a new led flat panel. WOW what a difference, the LXI was great for the past 17 years but the new tvs are better. We put the LXI in the garage because we couldnt throw it away. That tv was like a family member, if i figure out how to fix it i will post the how to.

LXI TV-menu options keep scrolling. How do we stop this?

I believe pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons at the same time is what puts the set into demo mode. (It might be CHAN UP and CHAN DOWN at the same - been so long I'm not sure, but I think it's the volume buttons.)
