- I live in Belgium Region 2 , and I bought a Toshiba SD-P1400 in the USA and the Europeanmovie DVDs do not work in the Toshiba SD-
1400.I have tried it several times and it

It looks like the player only plays region 1 DVDs which means that any DVDs not from the US will not work and this player can't change regions unfortunately. I would see if Toshiba will replace it in Belgium for you for one with your region. Let me know if you have any further questions or need anything else.

- Like I said before, this DVD player isn't a region free player, it only reads region 1 dvds and nothing else. Your options are to only watch region 1 DVDs or to take it to a place and switch it with your local region playerYes

- Turn on the player and wait until it says "No disc".
- Press "memory" on the remote (for mine, I had to select "shift" then "memory").
- Select the region number you want or 0 for all regions.
- Press "play".
- Turn off the player then turn it back on.
The player should now be set to the region you selected or be region free.
