I have the same problem. I was getting a build-up of up to 3/4 inch of ice on the bottom of the freezer in about 3 weeks time and then it would spill out when the freezer was opened. I tried checking the drain pipe and quick-defrosting of the freezer. I still have water that comes in a pretty steady trickle from the top inside corner of those vents, that then runs down the inside groove of the vents to the freezer floor. Any other suggestions.

I have a similar problem with water leaking - both in the freezer and also from the left door - it suddenly has gotten worse over the past week or so - specifically from the bottom of the left door. Any suggestions?

My freezer drain hose was plugged with small pieces of tempered glass which was causing the drain to back up into the freezer. With a small 1/4" socket, screwdriver I was able to get the drain hose off and clear the glass out. We did not have any broken shelves in the 8 years we have had this fridge so it is a mystery. Must have broke a shelf during production. As of this post I still need to defrost the freezer to make sure all is OK.

I had a problem simular to this but the water was coming from the ice maker. The valves were not closing all the way after it filled the tray for cubes it continued to drip enough to build an ice block in the bottom, on the back wall, in the ice tray. Replaced the water valves, problem solved. By the way I purchased my fridge from the outlet store with no warranty and this happed within 6 months of owning it.
Good Luck

Sounds like the freezer drain is plugged. Behind the refrigerator is a removable panel which will give you access to the drain hose. Make sure any trap is free of any buildup. You will have to defrost the freezer section to clear the ice from the inside drain area. Make sure there is no paper or other things that may restrict the water from draining.

Just above the drawers is a drain hole on the back wall. Push a drinking straw or very thin brush down to unblock the drainhole and the water will drain away outside the rear into a pan on top of the compressor

Refrigerator leaks alot of water from freezer area

Most of the time you have a clogged/frozen drain. If this is a freezer on top model, you need to remove the back wall or floor and defrost the drain with warm water or hair drier ... I find that warm water and a turkey baster works best.. just keep shooting the water down the drain hole until it takes the water down on its own. If the problem returns sometimes you will need to install a drain heater or conductor kit. If this is a side by side model the repair is about the same ..just remove the freezer back wall and melt the ice and flush the drain.

Model CTX18GAZBRWW - (Hotpoint) no-frost - freezer on top Water collects under the vegetable drawers and must be removed every day.

Something to try....on the back wall of the fridge nearer to the top is a little cup like part sticking out. There is water in it but it usually runs down an attached tube inside back wall and ends up under the fridge and gets evaporated. If that tube or the little cup thing is plugged then it will drip in the fridge and collect on the inside bottom of the fridge. So the trick is to clean them out. Check it out ...may solve the problem.

My side by side GE is leaking water on the freezer side. It is coming in from bottom and water is freezing under the drawer.

You have a stopped up and or frozen defrost drain line. Pull the bottom drawer out and look for ice underneath the bottom of the back wall. This is where the drain hole is. Thaw this out and make sure that the drain hole is not blocked. Water should pour through this hole freely when it is working properly.

Water drains internally at back of freezer drawer

Check the drain.

Take the bottom drawer out of the freezer and look in the very back for a drain hole. It may be covered with ice. A hair dryer will melt the ice so you can unclog the drain.
