Question about RCA D52W19 52" Rear Projection Television
I'm having problems with the picture color. There is absolutely no red and there is a blue ghost ring that seems to get smaller everyday, giving you somewhat of a tunnel vision affect. I had a repair man come out to check it out and he told me that the red projector is shot because it's leaking some sort off clear fluid and the blue projector is leaking as well. He said that's the reason for the blue ghost ring and eventually the picture will go out completely. He also said it would cost $700 to repair to replace the two projectors. Is he correct or do I have another less expensive repair option?
Unfortunatey that diagnoses sounds correct. sorry when the "glycol leaks " it cause all sorts of damage. in theses sets the tubes cost about 250 a peice. plus very labor entensive to replace. these "value" sets cost about 800 new at your local walmart.
