I also broke mine (tip for diary "don't walk round house with reciever plugged into side of laptop as it hits door-frames and breaks!) so rang Logitech customer services and they have said they will send replacement free of charge if they have them in stock - even though this is not a warranty covered problem. That's what i call v.good customer service, well done Logitech.

Erratic mouse movement

the mouse battery is getting low on juice, or the mouse may have short in the wire if you have wired device, the mouse maybe getting ready to dye.

you could go into the control panel open up mouse folder check all the settings and you have the right boxes checked of your needs and wheel adjustment is set low.

if you have usb with transmitter make sure the mouse is in sight of transmitter and you could try sync them by pushing the button on the bottom of mouse ( any color} and pust the transmitter button at the same time and reboot the computer

i hope that helps
thank you rod

Skytech 1410 fireplace remote (8 yrs. old) has stopped working. Replaced batteries in the transmitter. The red light lights up when

It may need to be re-synchronized:

Make sure the receiver's slide switch is in the REMOTE position.
Press and release the LEARN button on the receiver.
When you hear the "Beep", press and hold the ON or OFF button for about 2 seconds on the transmitter.
You will then hear a series of beeps that indicate that your new transmitter has been accepted by the receiver.
If you press the LEARN button on the receiver and you hear no beeps, the receiver is unable to retain any more transmitter codes
(make sure the transmitter battery is properly installed and fully charged).
To delete all of the transmitter codes on your receiver, press and hold the LEARN button for 10 seconds. Then you will hear a
series of beeps, indicating that the receiver's memory has been cleared.

It could also be dead after 8 years. A new unit can be purchased here: Skytech Remotes. I would even suggest on of the new styles with a built in timer or thermostat.

Remote contoller mode light flashing controller not working?

Hold down the connect button on the receiver and the mode button on the controller at the same time for approximately 10 seconds. This is a 2.4 GHz wireless transmitter and receiver (connection is somewhat like your WIFI router and laptop computer) and they need to reconnect sometimes.

Hampton bay ceiling fan with built-in remote receiver

In case someone else stumbles upon this:
I replaced the remote receiver on one of these fans. jb is right just the top housing that touches the ceiling needs to be removed. Twist it counter clockwise and pull down. You'll see all the wires and the remote receiver. It might not seem like much room to work with, but you can remove the wires and slide the receiver out sideways to replace it or if you can't see the dip switches. Too bad Home Depot is too cheap to even provide instructions when they send you the replacement remove receiver.
