Question about Brother LS-2125 Mechanical Sewing Machine

Problem After Oiling

I have been using my Brother 2125 to make lace using an embroidery hoop quite successfully. However, I have a college project I need to finish and needless to say my machine has been having quite a lot of use. I decided to oil the relevant parts as per the instructions in the manual and a couple of hours later decided to finish off. However, I now cannot get the machine to sew using the embroidery hoop, the under thread keeps snarling up and it is driving me insane as I have to keep taking all the bobbin mechanisms out to clean away the bits of thread. I can use the machine without the hoop and all the stitches work but for some reason since oiling it will not sew using the hoop. I still have work to do to finish my college assignment HELP!

More than likely the machine is okay but when you do the embroidery the presser foot is not all the way down and it has no tension. The other possibility is that the thread is not in the take up lever all the way or is slipping out.

As a temporary fix, if the above didn't solve your problem tighten your tension until the loops go away.

Have you tried oiling all moving parts. Go under presser foot under bobbin and remove all lint. Try to change the needle.

Do The ESE ESante Baby Lock hoops fit the ESI ESante Baby Lock machines

The Babylock Esante ESE1 and ESE2 hoops are not compatible with the Esante ESI1 or ESI2 hoops. The Babylock ESI1/2 used the same hoops as the Brother PC7000 and PC7500. The ESE1/2 use the hoops that are compatible with the Brother PC6500 and PE700 series embroidery machines.

I wish that I had better news for you. This site has hoops for sale for both the ESI1 and the ESE1: http://www.allbrands.com/categories/871 . If you need hoops for either machine, use the compatibility data on each machine type to help you find more vendors that may have the embroidery hoops.

Brother PE770 Hoop size programming stuck on small hoop option

Your machine would be able to perform 5 X 8 embroideries. The hoop size on this machine is recognized by the machine itself, depending of the embroidery file size. So it the embroidery is small, it will indicate that the small hoop is needed.

But U can use the large hoop, position the embroidery where U want then perform another embroidery on the sams hoop.

TRICK : the embroidery size exceeds the hoop? reduce it in X and or Y using this function on the machine

Im trying to sew letters on thin fabric and lace. I think the grip is to ruff for the fabric. how do i fix this?

you will need to have stabiliser behind the fabric to give it stability for any type of machine embroidery.

Look for a product called "stitch and tear" or "solvy" which washes away in water after you've completed the stitching.

Also, consider using machine embroidery thread for this task, its silky and gives a lovely sheen.

I've always used an embroidery hoop to hold the layers all together for monogramming so things don't slip.

I'd suggest you google "machine embroidery" or try www.sewing.about.com and see if there are other machine embroidery tips there.

Machine not sensing embroidery frame

Depending on your model of machine this problem is solved by replacing the hoop attachment unit on the hooping arm. (hoop sensor cable is not properly welded)

DISNEY BROTHER SE-270D COMPUTER SEWING & EMBRIODERY

but is the carriage moving,? if not disconnect and try to connect again, the embroidery hoop holder usually moves to check itself, if it still does the same thing the connection that goes onto the machine is not making a proper connection, I also had this problem, with a 2100 brother , I fixed it by using a crochet hook and just tightening the connection that connects to the machine on the embroidery unit, but tread very carefully it just takes a slight move. if this fails it will have to be adjusted cost is usually $100au
