Dear Sir/Madam,

I think this is setting problem. Check the monitor setting Use “blank screen” as a screen saver option. This option will be removed. If it not clear the problem plese follow these steps to solve the problem...

1) Right click on your desktop or background, go to properties>appearance tab>advanced. Now select “window” in the list and select a light gray color instead of white. Play around with schemes, use your creativity. Refer to the article

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q307855

checked following things

* CRT monitor consumption vis-à-vis LCD monitor consumption
* Brightness settings varied 0, 50, 100
* Contrast settings varied 0, 50,100
* Screen background changed black, gray, white
* Soft power off (off using power settings of computer) and hard power off (off using switch) consumptions.

2. If your computer allows power setting control (all laptops usually do), then change power settings to “turn monitor off” after 2-5 minutes. These setting are usually accessible somewhere around screen saver settings

3.Reduction brightness settings, increase contrast settings. This also be checked.

Thanks

This sounds like the blue screen of death that happens to computers many times. This is a feature built in to protect your computer. The problem can come from many things such as your RAM cards to software. Can you do a system restore while in safe mode and restore to a day before this happened. Please update me on your situation of whether you can do this. Thanks

Could be a problem with either the display driver/card or the RAM.

Try reinstalling the display driver, hopefully this will resolve the issue..

Try removing the battery and using the laptop only with wall power.

Lenovo ThinkPad T60 goes to blank screen at random intervals.

Hello you just have to upgrade the driver for the graphic card.

You can also use windows update

Visit lenovo here:

Or use the autodetect function

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-62928

If it not helps with the driver your display has a defect
its not a easy task to change the display.
The local computer repair shop should be able to help you with that.

Good luck

I have 1 problem hp intel atom, whn switch on very very slow and blue screen blank,sum1 help me plssss!!!!

You need to run the Check Disk Utility but I think you have a netbook that does not have a CD Drive. Lesson learned the hard way.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice the percentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run to completion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows. Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair when the options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recovery console and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

Without a cd drive you might have to just do a System Recovery which means you will lose all your data.

Windows Vista

What you need is Disable and Turn Off ClearType Fonts in Windows Vista

Windows Vista by default applies ClearType effect to the fonts displayed on screen, in order to improve the appearance of text on certain types of computer display screens, especially LCD flat-panel monitors. As ClearType text actually sacrifices color or chrominance details aspect of image quality for light and dark or luminance detail, some people may not like the blurry font style in ClearType. Here’s a easy way to disable or turn off ClearType in Windows Vista.

1. Right click on any blank spot of desktop, and then select Personalize on pop-up context menu.
2. Select Window Color and Appearance.
3. Click on “Open classic appearance properties for more color options” link located at the bottom of the page.
4. Click on the Effects button.
5. Do one of the following:

Uncheck (untick) the “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” box.

or

Select “Standard” to replace ClearType in the drop down list under the above title.
6. Click OK, then click Apply, and finally finish with clicking OK again.

To enable or turn on ClearType effect again, simply reverse the setting in the Effects step.

Screen goes blank

Try to load to safemode by restarting the pc and hitting F8 before loading the windows, after you load to safemode right click on desktop screen and hit properties and check if you change the size of screen?or the setting there? also look for the device manager of your vedio card and check if it works properly.
If all this not working this means your vga converter has problem this is card inside your laptop mostly happen with dell laptops, if you donot want to change it now, try to see if you have external screen port and connect your laptop to external screen.
Let me know wat happen?

Best Regards

Blank screen laptop

Your SONY should respond to the following:

Look for the blue FN key, hold it down (use it like a shift key)
While holding it, look for a key, also printed in blue with a picture that is half sun/half moon. On my laptop is the F8 key. As you press the key watch the screen to see if gets lighter.

Good Luck!
