Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

Ipod tracks in random order

When I listen to music on my i-phone it often plays album tracks in random order, even though i-tunes on my Mac plays the same album in the correct order. It's as if 'shuffle' is permanently activated, whereas I'd prefer it to be permanently disabled. This is a particular problem with live albums and operas, but being a creature of habit I prefer to listen to rock albums in their 'correct' (= familiar) order too. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for your reply, but this option does not appear in the iPod settings of my i-phone - only Sound Check, Audiobook Speed, EQ and Volume Limit. Highbury.

6th gen. nano has shuffle issues. plays same song over and over

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

yes, try ripping the cd or dvd by placing in tray........open itunes and rip the track (s) you want...(itunes will convert the mp3 to mp4)....once all your track you want are done.......take the music file from the top of left hand side (make sure ipod is connected for this) and click hold and drag down to the ipod music folder (this will take a while depending on large the folder is) once you are finish never ever just unplug it you will lose your files EJECT from itunes............

Why does my ipod touch change tune/album whilst I'm walking. Description: Select a play list, Start playing, Start walking. Hear music, Hear a tone (blup blup blup), Ipod changes tune or even album. Why???

It happens because you dont put it on hold and it has very high touch sensivity that it comes in the reaction of your pocket and it changes its album or tune.

I cannot take songs from my ipod and same them to my computer

Yeah, apple doesn't want to be seen as promoting music piracy or something. Which is kinda silly when you think about it...

anyway, this program will allow you to do what you want, if you are running windows or linux http://www.ephpod.com/download.shtml

if you are on a mac, let me know. I will figure that one out. I forget which prog i use on mac, but there is one.

I have an i-pod classic 80gb. Most of my albums are in alphabetical order but for some reason about 30 or so albums have beem dumped to the back of the list in random order even though my i-tunes library...

In iTunes, look at the "problem" albums one-by-one by highlighting it, right click and select "Get Info". Check the Album field for leading or trailing spaces and other non-printable characters. If any of these are found, correct the Album field and see if this album is now in alphabetical order.

Wont let me listen to about 20 of my songs

I had this happen a few years ago. I spoke with Apple and they told me to make sure that the auto synch is turned off and that manual selection is enabled.

You may have to reload you songs back up into the Ipod. You should restore the Ipod back to factory settings first in case there is something corrupted in it.
