I had the same problem.
I fashioned a small piece of wire, and with each end, shorted the two sides of the battery together, - thereby removing the BIOS settings through a loss of power.
Do this only briefly though - you don't want to drain / destroy the battery altogether, as this will hold your future bios settings in the cmos chip.
